Background and Agenda

CERP hosted an education policy roundtable on 13th August, 2012 in collaboration with the Geo TV education campaign, Zara Sochiye. The roundtable was aimed at bringing together prominent education researchers and practitioners in Pakistan to advise Geo TV on ‘actionable items’ to be highlighted in the Zara Sochiyecampaign. After multiple rounds of deliberation, the group achieved consensus on a number of action items including quality, access, governance, and the role of the state and the household in children’s education.
