Profile: Omar Haroon is currently working as a Program Assistant on the Punjab Economic Opportunities Program (PEOP). He completed his Masters degree in Economics from the University of Warwick in 2013. Prior to this, he interned for the Institute of Rural Management (IRM) in the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (PMER) department where he conducted field visits for M&E purposes on two projects: Punjab Education Sector Reform Project (Phase 1) and Early Recovery and Restoration of Flood Affected Communities in Sindh. He also has a BSc. in Politics and Economics from LUMS (2010). He is interested in how poverty alleviation can be achieved via inclusive growth and economic empowerment of low income, poor and vulnerable members of the society.
