Empirical Study of Gender (EGEN) Pakistan Workshop 2022

The Pakistan edition of the Empirical Study of Gender (EGEN) Workshop is set to take place on 30 March 2022.
EGEN is a network of social science scholars using empirical approaches to study gender. This workshop will provide a forum for Pakistan-based and international academic researchers to present works in progress about issues related to the politics or economics of gender.
The workshop will provide participants an opportunity to get constructive feedback from a small group of colleagues beyond their own institutions. It also aims to strengthen links between Pakistan-based and international researchers in this field and create opportunities for future collaboration.

To keep the workshop informal and highly engaged, participation is by application only. To indicate your interest in participating, please fill out the application form by 28 February, 2022 at https://forms.gle/p8pmToxo6X72sxMG6.

We welcome applications from early-career researchers (advanced graduate students, post-docs, and untenured faculty) from the fields of economics, political science, and public policy. We also encourage applications from individuals who are interested in participating without presenting.

The workshop will be hosted in a hybrid format, in person and on Zoom, at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). The session will take place over a full day (30 March, 2022).

Participants are requested to participate in the entire workshop in order to give feedback to other participants (to the extent feasible given time zone issues). Please Notes that we will request all selected participants to read all circulated papers and design documents in advance of the workshop date to ensure a high quality of feedback.
