A recent meeting between CERP and Aga Khan University (AKU) aimed to explore collaborative opportunities and discuss potential areas of cooperation. Maroof A. Syed, President & CEO, emphasised CERP’s vision for research in health and shared the organisation’s strategic partnerships across sectors such as education, gender, and governance. Zoha Waqar, the Infant Feeding & Health Research Lead at CERP, discussed the goal of facilitating scientific research and innovation with advanced data collection and analysis methods to enhance workforce capacity and share findings with stakeholders in the health field. AKU expressed interest in potential collaboration within their community health and family medicine departments. Dr. Asad Ali, Associate Dean of Research at AKU’s Medical College, highlighted CERP’s expertise in study design, cost evaluations, and large-scale field experiments for behavioural interventions, which could complement AKU’s clinical research portfolio. The two teams discussed knowledge exchange through seminars and guest speaker sessions. The meeting ended with a clear understanding of the benefits of collaboration and identified action items.
