Anum is a part of the Punjab Economic Opportunities Program (PEOP) at CERP which works to promote poverty alleviation through skills training and labour market opportunities with a focus on the labor force participation and empowerment of women. Before joining CERP, she worked as an economic consultant in London on a variety of projects in the health and media and technology space. She also keeps an eye on the education sector and has previously worked for a Lahore based NGO trying to build workplace skills among university graduates in Pakistan. Her other interests include: women's issues (her MPhil thesis looked at the quality of female leisure time in Pakistan), environmental degradation (and the responsibility of economists in relation to it), religion, fitness (always trying to find good running spaces in Lahore) and food (baking, breads, brunch).
Anum has a BSc. (Hons) in Economics from LUMS and an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Cambridge
