Omer has been engaged with CERP since 2015. He is the manager for the Tax Unit as well as the newly introduced in-house Survey Unit.
Before joining CERP, Omer has worked with International Growth Center (IGC), Institute for Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Search for Common Ground (SFCG) and Spearhead Research. His research interests are governance, the political economy of service delivery, institutional development and urban planning.
Omer is a Fulbright Scholar and graduated with an MA in International Development Studies with a specialisation in Tech, Governance and Social Change from George Washington University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
