Omer Qasim is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in research, project management, and product development. Currently serving as Director (Product) at CERP Survey, he has been actively involved with the organization since 2015. During his tenure, he has spearheaded the Tax Project and played a pivotal role as the Data Collection and Sampling Design Lead on the Smart Containment and Active Learning (SCALE) initiative. Prior to CERP, Omer held various research and project management positions at prominent organizations, including Precision Development (PxD), International Growth Center (IGC), Institute for Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS), Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Search for Common Ground (SFCG). His diverse experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of development challenges and a proven ability to design and implement effective solutions. A Fulbright Scholar, Omer holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from George Washington University, specializing in Tech, Governance, and Social Change. His undergraduate degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) provides a strong foundation for his analytical and problem-solving skills. Omer’s expertise lies in leveraging technology and data to enhance development outcomes. He is passionate about utilizing innovative approaches to address complex societal issues and foster sustainable change.
