Sultan Mehmood

Principal Investigator
Mehmood Sultan is a Principal Investigator on Judicial Access and Development Project at CERP. Dr Mehmood is an Assistant Professor at NES and Project Lead at the World Bank’s DE JURE (Data and Evaluation for Justice Reform) program. His research interests are in Development Economics and Political Economy. Particularly, he seeks to understand the conditions for the establishment of the Rule of Law in societies and its consequences for Institutional Design and Development. He is considered an Emerging Leader in the field of Law and Economics and how to build State Capacity via training high-stakes decision-makers. Dr Mehmood received his PhD in Economics from the University of Paris and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
